Fuck New Years. Here’s What Im Working On Now

Someone recently asked me what my New Year’s resolution was going to be? I was a bit shocked at the question. Not because it was November at the time, but because the idea of a New Year’s resolution just seems ridiculous. Do you really need to wait for a specific date and motivation from the masses to do something? I don’t.

I spend a lot of time working. I work at my office from 8am – 5pm. Then I go to the gym and for a run, and then I go to Starbucks to work late into the evening. Most Saturdays, and Sundays I’m working too. It’s not working though, it’s business. I guess that’s my hobby.

When I was kid, around 10 years old, I played Roller Coaster Tycoon a bunch. While my parents thought I like building roller coasters, I was actually obsessed with building profitable and efficient theme park businesses. When the CD-rom for that game was taken from me, I would go to the Mcdonald’s game on some free games website. It was a lot less detailed then Roller Coaster Tycoon, but the object was still the same. So in a sense I still play the same
game today, just with real customers, and real $$$.

With GCA running smoothly with less direct Involvement from myself I’ve been able to focus on some other things…

Reshaping GCA

Narrowing the company business model to select services that we can do efficiently and awesomely. In the short run this will lower our total sales, and lower total profit, but boost internal morale, customer satisfaction, efficiency, and margin. For branding purposes, the narrowing of services will likely some rebranding. This leads way to….

A Franchising / Partnership Model

The revised CGA model will be highly scalable. We’ll be looking for partners and franchisee’s to take the model to other locations around the Southeast around the southeast.

Marketing Courses For Home Service Business Owners.

Marketing a home service business and selling service, particularly online, is something I can do extremely well — and I enjoy. I could throw in the GCA marketing ROI number, but for the sake of this post it doesn’t matter exactly. I’ll just say that its high enough, that Marcus Lemonis would say “holyshit that’s all you spend on advertising”. I’m actually slightly let down that I operate a small regional home service company when I’ve got the skills and experience to market any home service business, any where on the globe, but I’m currently limited to the 3 county area in Florida (ahem see the plan above this).

At​ ​the​ ​same​ ​time,​ ​many​ ​business​ ​owners​ ​live​ ​‘lead​ ​to​ ​lead’​ ​and​ ​piss​ ​money​ ​away​ ​aimlessly​ ​on  ineffective​ ​marketing.​ ​I’ll​ ​be​ ​teaching​ ​the​ ​exact​ ​process,​ ​step​ ​by​ ​step,​ ​that​ ​I​ ​use​ ​in​ ​my​ ​company  and​ ​that​ ​I​ ​would​ ​put​ ​my​ ​$$$​ ​into​ ​no​ matter​ ​which​ ​business​ ​in​ ​the​ ​home​ ​service​ ​industry​ ​I operate.​ ​​ ​Particularly​ ​Facebook​ ​ads,​ ​and​ ​Google​ ​Adwords,​ ​along​ ​with​ ​content​ ​marketing.​ ​They  won’t​ ​be​ ​free​ ​course,​ ​but​ ​they​ ​will​ ​bring​ ​actionable​ ​value​ ​with​ ​a​ ​proven​ ​method​ ​to​ ​make​ ​phones  ring​ ​tomorrow.​ ​​ ​This​ ​is​ ​being​ ​set​ ​up​ ​right​ ​now​ ​on​ H​ome​ ​Pro​ ​Success​.

So​ ​that’s​ ​it.​ ​​ ​No​ ​need​ ​to​ ​wait​ ​until​ ​some​ ​date.​ ​​ ​I’m​ ​just​ ​doing.
